Board of Directors roles
Executive Outreach
• Provide executive presence and leadership to the organization
• Identify and collaborate with healthcare executives to share knowledge and skills for personal and professional growth.
• Identify and attract executives with valuable topics to be presented at the ELEX Conference and monthly webinars
• Develop various outreach strategies directed towards C-suites for active engagement and participation.
Membership
• Develop value proposition for healthcare organizations to ensure their leadership teams join the organization with active engagement.
• Promote NursesBond and ELEX conference to other affiliate organizations.
• Collaborate with the executive director to organize membership outreaches.
• Set goals for membership and ensure that every member benefits from the organization's programs and activities.
• Ensure that the welcome packages are updated and members are actively engaged with the collaboration of the programs committee.
Community Partnerships
• Assists with organizing community outreaches at least twice a year, especially a community service on the Sunday of the ELEX Conference.
• Partner with other community agencies to ensure NursesBond presence and participation in community events
• Locate community sponsors to ensure our community programs are successfully executed
• Engage other stakeholders in the promotion of community service activities
Conference Planning and Awards
• Assist the executive director in planning the ELEX Conference
• Assist with location, date, and hotel contracts, including conference logistics
• Participate in selecting conference themes, speakers, and vendors.
• Collaborate with the conference sponsorship team to ensure that the budget is achieved to run a successful conference
• Determine criteria for awards and selection of conference awardees.
Education/Programs Outreach
• Organize educational programs and webinars that will be very impactful to members of the organization.
• Seek collaboration with other healthcare organizations and institutions to provide valuable webinars that will qualify for CE credits.
• Seek and partner with educational bodies to ensure recognition of NursesBond as a partner professional organization.
• Collaborate with the conference planning committee to ensure that educational topics and presenters are added to the conference agenda.
• Partner with institutions to ensure they have a booth to showcase their institutions during the ELEX Conference and monthly webinars.
Entrepreneurship/new startup outreach
• Attract healthcare entrepreneurs to partner with NursesBond to provide their products and services to members.
• Collaborate with new startups and ensure mutual benefits are shared between them and NursesBond.
• Secure speakers for the ELEX conference who are serial entrepreneurs to enhance business relationships between leaders and professionals.
• Collaborate with the sponsorship committee to ensure business owners have the opportunity to sponsor organizational events.
• Provide partnership agreements between the organization and identified entrepreneurs
Sponsorships
• Secure sponsorships to cover the organization ELEX conference, educational webinars, and community events
• Ensure recognition of sponsors at every organizational event, including on the organization's marketing and communication materials
• Maintain a good relationship with past sponsors and ensure mutual benefits for future sponsors.
• Develop a criterion for sponsor acquisition and an active database for sponsorship outreach.
• Collaborate with the Conference planning committee to ensure adequate and appropriate sponsorship opportunities are sought after.
